  • Vote Republican for the Economy this May Primary

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Portland, OR โ€” The Multnomah County Republican Party (MCRP) supports candidates and policies which extend economic benefits to businesses and working individuals. In other words, we believe you should have more of your earnings in your hands or in your family’s accounts. We believe Oregon residents know better where they ought spend their own money. We demonstrated this belief with our support of the “No Gas Tax” referendum, which permits us to vote “No” on Measure 120 and stop $4.3 billion in additional taxes and fees.

The MCRP wishes to extend this economic support for the long-term. Our Platform supports the rural farmer, the factory, and the urban retailer. And we have a plan to see that all happen. If youโ€™d like to learn more, visit the MCRP online at https://multco.gop/lk/economy.

  • MCRP Adopts County Platform

    For Immediate Release:

Fairview, Oregon โ€” The Multnomah County Republican Party (MCRP) has adopted their County Platform for 2026. The Party elected to assign the County’s Platform Review Committee (chaired by Vice-Chairman Jim Kight) the duty of reviewing the State Platform and recommending emendations for the County to adopt. The result was a document largely based upon the State’s recent Platform but augmented with key concerns from an earlier State Platform adopted in 2023. With some discussion and light amendment, the MCRP Executive Committee adopted the proposed County Platform in time for May’s Primary Election.
