Portland, OR — The Multnomah County Republican Party in the strongest possible terms condemn any form of anti-semitism. Period.
Since October 7, 2023 there has been a significant increase of hatred and attacks on persons of Jewish ethnicity. Lest we forget, in 2025 the American Jewish community witnessed an arson at the Pennsylvania Governor’s residence and the governor, his wife and four children came very close to losing their lives. Then there were the murders of Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington D.C. Also, Karen Diamond died in a fire bombing in Boulder, Colorado, while in a march in support of the 1200 hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.
No one in America should have to change their behavior because of what they believe. Unfortunately, that is how most Jews are living their lives in our country.
We are all Americans from a multiplicity of different backgrounds, and religious beliefs (or no religious beliefs at all). We all share one thing in common … to live peacefully with our neighbors, irrespective of who they are.
